Though New York City is outside the “path of totality” where viewers can catch a total eclipse, the city will be able to see the moon cover about 75 percent of the sun, according to the experts at the American Museum of Natural History. A man was fatally stabbed in the chest in Brooklyn Friday night, cops said. The 42-year-old victim was walking with a woman on Monitor St. near McGolrick Park in Greenpoint when they got into a fight with a group of men, said witness Kelvin Tineo, 26. The brawl turned bloody when the man was knifed at 9:30 p.m., police said. No one has been arrested and the slain man’s name was not released.
